Hei, Friends and supporters of Wilfron. Its been a while since we last had information on our young friend. You can see from the email under from Alfredo Torres that life in Colombia is not easy for him and his family. Happily he will be returning soon to Bogato for the next phase of surgery. See attachment.

After the initial surgery (first picture) we can see a happy smiling Boy who has great expectations that his face would return to normal (April 2007) , the second picture is the reality that needs to be ddressed in 2008. Surgery is required on Eyelid, nostrels, and ear, I have no idea if improvements can be made to the burn scar or the time required for improvement.
I understand that an evaluation of the next phase of surgery will take place in April.

Today and after six months of being without any communication, we had
contac again with Wilfran Joel, Cielo his mother and the rest of the family.
We were told that after many difficulties they leaved Vichada and; at
the present time, they are at Puerto Leguizamo, Putumayo.
Through telephone, we were told that their conditions at Vichada were
unacceptable because of the presence of armed groups fighting among them and the public force. In addition to the danger to loose their lives, the was the menace of Wilfran Joel and his daughter to be recruited by the guerrillas. This menace obliged them to run away leaving almost everytheing they had gotten, as watchmen of a farmer. Wilfran and his other brothers are studying, and in this year they are going to remain at this port of Putumayo River. In the next days, we are going to send them the sport things David sent to them, and which we were unable to deliver. Also they will make plans to come to Bogota in order to have the last surgery for Wilfran Joel for his face reconstruction.
According to his parents, he is very happy studying and with many
Desire to communicate with David.
